Polyacrylamide Particles
Polyacrylamide (PAM) is a linear polymer, mainly divided into dry powder and colloid. According to its average molecular weight, it can be divided into three categories: low molecular weight (< 1 million), medium molecular weight (< 2 million to 4 million) and high molecular weight (>7 million). According to its structure, it can be divided into non-ionic type, anionic type and cationic type. The anionic type is mainly the hydrolysate of PAM (HPAM). The main chain of polyacrylamide contains a large number of amide groups, which have high chemical activity. It can be modified to produce many derivatives of polyacrylamide. The products have been widely used in papermaking, mineral processing, oil recovery, metallurgy, building materials, sewage treatment and other industries. As lubricant, suspension agent, clay stabilizer, oil displacement agent, water loss reducer and thickener, polyacrylamide has been widely used in drilling, acidification, fracturing, water shutoff, cementing, secondary oil recovery and tertiary oil recovery. It is a very important oilfield chemical.
